A business vision board is a basic tool that will help make your entrepreneurial dreams come true. The goal is to teach you the basics of a business vision board so that everything you want can be a reality. My vision board got me:
Husband and family of my dreams
Dream Job
Pay that I wanted
Vacations I wanted
Manifested my dream car
Got my dream house
And so much more…. I know that I can help create that for you too.
In this article, we will go over the full guide to creating a business vision board that manifests.
1. Business Vision Board Basics
The first rule to create your dream vision board is to write down your exact goals. These goals will be your financial goals, employee goals, bonus goals, equity goals, investment goals, niched business goals for your industry, PR goals, social goals, etc…
There might be many reasons you want to create a business vision board. Maybe you are not achieving the goals that you want. You might not even have goals written down or thought out. Maybe you have goals, but they aren’t specific enough. Let’s get specific, down to the due date. Make it challenging, but realistic.
Once you have these written down, the next step is to put a date for when you want to accomplish them by. These dates should be realistic, but still pushing yourself. Some of them will take longer than others because you are really going to have to plan out your business strategy and timelines to get this where you want.
After you have this, you will need to gather the materials:
- Inspiring business images from Pinterest (I printed these at CVS. Always look for a discount code)
- Canvas (I found XL canvases at 5 below last week!)
- Tape, glue, or thumbtacks
2. How a Vision Board Makes You Live Intentionally
The purpose of your business vision board is to visualize your business goals and see them every single day. Not only will your attention be focused on your business’ future, but you will be intentional about your work day after seeing exactly what it is you want.
You are going to feel more motivated and want to stay on track. In addition to this, writing down your goals and implementing timelines creates accountability. This is putting you in the driver's seat and making you intentional about your life instead of along for the ride.
When you make your business vision board, close your eyes and visualize yourself achieving those goals. Imagine how you will feel, the freedom you will have and what it will look like. This exercise will make those dreams feel achievable and real to you.
Creating your dreams is a very personal activity. When you do this, make sure that you have had enough food and sleep. Make sure you are in a comfortable and inspiring environment and somewhere that motivates you.
Having a business comes with ups and downs, but when you know what you want and take the actions to achieve those goals, you are far more likely to succeed.
3. Why a vision board helps your team
In business, as a boss or entrepreneur, you are in charge of putting the future there for your employees/co-workers. You are the one that they look up to as well as the driving force for the success of the company. Not only is everyone else looking to you for guidance, but they are looking to you for motivation and direction.
It is much easier to steer your business in the right direction when you know exactly where you are going. Your team will feel confident that they are also headed in the right direction when you have laid out a clear picture.
Having a vision inspires everyone around you including yourself. You can be in an endless sea, wandering around without a clear direction. But, a business vision board can be an inspiring tool to get you started in the right direction.
Having it somewhere that you team can see is also really inspiring to them so that they can see the goals and the future of the company and be on the same page as you. Your vision, clearly laid out, is definitely and inspiring tool.
As a business owner, we don’t have it all figured out. That’s for sure. But being intentional, having a plan, and working towards that is inspiring not only for yourself and your team, but for everyone around you.
4. How to Make a Business Vision Board for Manifestation:
- Spend Time to Write Down Your Goals
- Gather the Materials
- Assemble the Dream
- Coordinate the Details
- Put it Somewhere You Will See Every Day
Don't spend too much time on any one of the tasks, but divide them evenly. The most important thing is you having a clear picture of your goals, and knowing what you want. Then, the rest will come very easily. If you implement these steps, you are good to go. The idea is to put down what you want, and find images that visualize those concepts.
Examples:
- Be a millionaire. This could be pictures of money or text saying that
- Be on Forbes 40 Under 40. This could be a picture of the Forbes 40 Under 40 magazine
- Write a Book. This could be a picture of someone’ example of this or the publishing house you want to write with.
- Hire an employee. This could be a picture of someone accepting and offer from a company.
- Open a new office. These can be inspirational pictures of offices that you really like the look of.
- Hire a chauffeur. This can be an image of someone being chauffeured or a black SUV
- Work from home. This can be a picture of your dream home office
Make sure that you put text images as well that will motivate and inspire you. You can even write out your own text to put or your favorite quote.
ke. If you think you don’t have time, think again. Change the things you are saying to yourself. Instead, ask yourself how you can make time.
You could go on a walk at lunch after eating quickly. You can take a walk when you get home or when you wake up. You can even take your computer outside for 15 minutes and stand in the sun. Vitamin D is going to make you feel better and make you have more energy. Boss Girl’s get out in the sun and don’t deprive themselves.
And even if you aren’t doing it for anyone else, do it for yourself. Do it so that you can level up. You might be surprised at what you find. But your life will start turning around and trending upward when you can own it and take control.
5. The difference between a vision board that exists and one that manifests
Nobody wants to hear this truth. But as a business owner, you are probably used to hearing things that aren’t always easy. The main difference between a vision board that exists and one that actually manifests is what you DO about it.
Some people like to sit there and “dream” and “dream,” but I have dreamt about winning the lottery and being a billionaire and it has not happened yet. The only things that I have “dreamt” about and had happen, were things that I put the work into and focused on.
The good news is that you are already one step ahead of everyone else in that you have a solid plan of action and something to inspire you every single day. That is farther than most people get.
Make sure that your vision board is within your reach, but also inspiring enough to push you past your comfort zone. Your vision board should execute you and make you want to reach those goals because they are so worth it.
Have your reward be 10 times better than the work put in. If you make x amount, how much are you putting into yourself or your family. Your vision board should include your rewards.
Want to go on a vacation? A new car? A new laptop? Put it on the board.
Having a business is not a walk in the park, but nothing worth having comes easy. I am sure that you know this. Hang up your business vision board and make your dreams come true one day at a time.
